Ingredients:
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 tbsp ghee
- 3 medium-sized tomatoes (chopped)

- 2 green chilies (slit lengthwise)

- 1 tsp salt (adjust to taste)

- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder (daniya powder)
- ½ tsp cumin powder (jeera powder)
- 1 tsp garam masala or mixed masalas
- 1 tsp whole spices (cinnamon, cloves, bay leaf, and cardamom)
Step-by-Step Cooking Process
- Prepare Ingredients: Gather all the ingredients and keep the cooked rice ready.
- Heat Oil & Ghee: In a pan, heat oil and ghee on medium flame.
- Add Whole Spices: Add cinnamon, cloves, bay leaf, and cardamom, letting them sizzle.
- Add Curry Leaves & Green Chilies: Toss in fresh curry leaves and slit green chilies.
- Sauté Tomatoes: Add chopped tomatoes and cook until soft and mushy.
- Add Spice Powders: Mix in turmeric powder, chili powder, coriander powder, jeera powder, and salt.
- Cook the Masala: Let the mixture cook until the oil separates.
- Mix with Rice: Add the cooked rice and gently mix it with the tomato masala.
- Add Garam Masala: Sprinkle garam masala and mix well.
